Bangaverage Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Carluccio coming back would be the end of my support, can’t make it here so moves to Perth, can’t make it there in a team that comes last! What on earth makes us think he has improved enough to come back bombagol 1
JustWandering Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Caluccio is left footed. I suppose he could be converted to a left back.

Wonderful scouting network we have. Also in a position where we have plenty of options as it is. mack 1
Sithslayer1991 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Carluccio makes sense if he is to be a full back. We have deployed him there before. Its not his position but he can play there. And he would give competition to Clisby. Unlike Cameron, Carluccio is ready to step in. I am ok with this if Staj puts him at LB. StringerBellend 1
immortalshogun Posted January 9 Posted January 9 If Carluccio comes in to play LB then I’m okay with it as we need someone to give Clisby some competition who has at least played some A-League games. Its not ideal, but i imagine he wouldn’t cost much to bring back Sithslayer1991 and MartinTyler 2

Kotallo Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I don't think Staj will go for Carluccio. He'd fill the exact same slot as Ben Holliday.

Wasn't the other thing on this thread that Holliday has lost favour and the club is looking to move him on? He has fallen so far the pecking order that Cameron was used over Holliday for LB.
SBW Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Carluccio is a signing that you expect Staj to make. Wasn't there rumours last month that Staj wants to get rid of the senior players in our team and have more of a youthful team?

I liked Carluccio a lot when he was with us but he doesn't fix any problems for us right now. What's worse is if we kept him in the first place we could probably have got him off the salary cap space as a loyalty player, like ESFC have done so successfully over the last 10yrs. Total lack of vision in management. StringerBellend 1

Pray, dance whatever you believe in that Carluccio is at least an upgrade to Clisby, and that Carluccio at least gives us a D'Appuzo level of confidence to do a job. EmMac, MartinTyler and 102megan 3
BoyFromTheWest Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Montverde suggesting SFC are after the 5 Dock Messi! Beaten again. Apparently loaning Wood to Perth. Kotallo and StringerBellend 1 1
Davo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Carluccio as a Clisby replacement doesn’t make sense to me. He’s predominately played on the right side, mostly as a midfielder or winger, and we’re looking at him as a left back? He’s got 53 A-League appearances and as far as I can tell none of them have been at left back.

While I like Carluccio's heart and enthusiasm, he is only a very average squaddie and would be a downgrade on the Ginger Maldini. Tobinho and TwoLeftFoots 1 1

So at least theres some semblence of a natural position there for him
sonar Posted January 10 Posted January 10 IF Carluccio is coming back he has one advantage.....he knows the players and their style of play. Easier to intergrate into the team. I thought he was an ok player....nothing spectacular but solid. Edinburgh 1

102megan Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I really do hope Sotirio finds a new club and gets more game time - such awful luck to have ruptured his Achilles tendon so early in his stint at Kerala Blasters, and then not to get any game time once he'd healed from it. EmMac and StringerBellend 2
