Whilst I agree that mustard, proper mustard, ain't necessarily a sauce, the stuff they squeeze into the bottle ain't pure mustard - it's a sauce if ever there was.

So happy to call it 'mustard sauce' but then abbreviate it (BBQ,. tomato...) to simply 'mustard' noting that this is really mustard sauce and it is time the yellow wiggle got central billing!

Nick Montgomery’s squad for the 2021/22 Isuzu UTE A-League season is continuing to be built, with the upgrade of Max Balard to a full time A-League contract, and the promotion of Damian Tsekenis as a scholar.

Damien's doing a degree in football? :xnod:

Mustard can be used as a component of a sauce, but on it’s own I argue it’s a condiment.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good honey mustard or whole mustard sauce. But the mustard has to be mixed with other ingredients (chicken stock, cream, honey etc.) to become a sauce. Hence it’s a condiment as it is being used to augment other foods.

Honey, relish, wasabi, chutney, tzatziki etc. are all condiments.

Gravy, hollandaise, bearnaise, teriyaki, peanut/satay are all sauces.

I think the test is, can you smother a piece of meat or protein in it and have it be enjoyable? Hence, why I consider tomato and BBQ as sauces.

I fully admit this is a weird niche hill to die on, but we’re here now :P

Hey! I was typing on my phone on my lunch break. Even professionals make mistakes sometimes. Give me a break old man <_<

I am with Jess, mustard is a condiment.

That awful American style mustard could be classed as a sauce the way that is squeezed on hot dogs and other things, pretty sure they call that a sauce.

My fave old English blow your ******* head off mustard is most definitely a condiment. But this mustard has no resemblance to that terrible American variety.

Dijon mustard on its own is a condiment but is more versatile than other mustards and can be added and made in to sauces.

Some mustards are sauces and some aren't. Don't make me lock this thread too.

Last I heard, BBQs and tomatoes aren't sauces either. Or condiments for that matter.

My favourite  mustard

An occasional sinuses clear out is good for the constitution

I like to mix Hot English mustard with some Mayo for a delicious cross-condiment bonanza. Slather it on an egg n bacon roll, schnitzel sandwich, sausages.....

Small hhhhmmmm maybe not so small but worth saying...

Given we have a population just over 300K, and until the Mariners we were a heartland RL area.... today six players who played at various parts of the game came thu our youth system and five of those six are locals... so if you count Olly we played 6 locals today with Matty S out injured... we could have played if Matty S had played 7 locals ... to WS that may seem small but given the population size and history of NSL clubs etc I think its a massive achievement the COE and our academy has done wonders on teh coast.... just being on the Coast kinda never gets a second through

We have had a youth academy since Hal 1....

Other kinda useless info... before Hal we had roughly 6.5 juniors in the CC association.... RL had about the same number with rugby having about 3.5K.... today Football has over 16.5 juniors, league about 3 and rugby about 1.1 ....

BTW massive plans to expand [with expansion plans held up for over five year by council] but this is the COE ... a couple of vids .... and remember we starting building this in Hal 1 and finishthis stage about 2016.... first vid 1 minute second vid about 2 minutes and there are huge plans to expand..

Council has held back the expansion of the COE for years over road access.... add the F.....up with the stadium.... we hate the F ing council up here ...
