Midfielder Marco Tulio (24) will be announced by @CCMariners . Base of the @Atletico , passage through the U-23 of the @Sporting_CP , was in the @CSAoficial in the last two seasons. Offensive midfielder, can act centered or by the tips. On the way to Australia

What's an offensive midfielder? Does he strut around the park telling his opponents to **** off or calling them a bunch of *******? :woah:

The Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce the signing of Brazilian forward Marco Tulio, following his departure from Sporting Clube de Portugal.

The 24-year-old joins as the clubs last visa signing of the window, with the Brazilian coming to the Coast with high regard.

Beginning his career at Atlético Mineiro, Tulio debuted for the first team aged just 19. His promise saw interest from clubs in Europe from an early age, with European giants Sporting Clube de Portugal pouncing to bring him to Portugal.

I'll add them despite the fact I can't see any confirmation on Kaltak being an injury replacement (I'm assuming he's replacing Moresche?)

Correct on who he is the injury replacement for....

Actually feeling good about the balance of the squad.... midfield is a little light on but very strong in both the forwards and backs...

The Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce the signing of Vanuatu international Brian Kaltak for the upcoming Isuzu UTE A-League season as an injury replacement for Moresche.

The 28-year-old has featured 20 times for the Vanuatu national team and has played much of his club football in Oceania. The defender’s career has taken him to New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Papau New Guinea.

This is Kaltak’s second stint with the Mariners after he trialled with the club back in April 2022. His trial was unfortunately cut short due to injury, however head coach Nick Montgomery was keen to see the defender return to the Coast.

“Brian trialled with us at the end of last season and was instantly well respected in the group as a player and a person. Unfortunately he injured his knee and our season finished, but my plan was always to bring him back in for pre-season and as an injury replacement for Moresche,” said Montgomery.

“I am delighted to give him this opportunity to play at a level he deserves as he is a big, fast and powerful centre-back who knows how to defend. His personality is infectious and he fits perfectly into the group. He will create competition for places in the backline and we are looking forward to working with him.”

The centre-back has featured throughout the pre-season, looking strong against A-League opposition.

Kaltak and the rest of the Mariners will kick-off the 2022/23 Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s season against the Newcastle Jets on October 8th at Central Coast Stadium.

All the best to him, but I can't help get total Arzani vibes because all the hype on a kid that has had barely 200 minutes of professional football. Now to be thrown in the deep end with a loan to Portugal as I understand.

any word on fee surely it’s at least a million given the interest was rampant

Apparently it was a small release fee from his contract somewhere between $200k to $500k (AUD). Although CCM usually also put in things like on sale fees and other bonuses so they might make more money down the road.
