Having thought about this more this really does give me the shits in some ways.

I would have given anything to be paid to play football, between the ages of say 7 - 18 that was all I wanted to do. I would spend hours and hours outside, every spare moment kicking a ball around in all weather. I tried out for so many teams, went to summer training camps for trainees / kids and teenagers run by local clubs in the hope I would be spotted and someone would see something in me.

In the end I played at around the 8th tier in England but never as a regular at that level even, a sub or a back up player at non league level is all I managed to become. Just didn't have the natural ability to take it any further I guess (although I can say I played 10 mins in an FA cup qualifying round lol  :D ) We lost  :sorry:

For someone like Saba who does have a gift and has been paid to play football to perhaps not give a **** about it (maybe, we don't really know) really does grind on me a lot .I would have killed for the chance and done **** just about anything for it!

There isn't the amount of Golec thumbs up approvals in the world to show my agreement in this.

So I will just leave one,

What about those of us that need to sort out fixing or buying new jerseys because he's decided to pike it. Thought i'd show some saba support for this season now ill just leave the 10. He should have fought for his spot.

Lesson Learnt.

Never put an unproven player on your jersey.

7 months... No, no, 2 yrs and a half. Yes... Since day one I am a fan of the WSW. I spent two yrs jn Italy streaming almost all WSW games at home. I wanted to play for this team so much, that I bought out my contract in Italy. But you know what ? €100.000 well spent. I don't regret. Never will. Playing in front of these fans and living the experiences that I have lived in these months, no money in the world can pay. I am part of the History . I'm proud of that. Unfortunately, you will never know the truth. But you actually never do. Thanks to my teammates that supported me and helped me growing as a player as well. It's all about them, don't forget it. ⚽ Goodbye Western Sydney, goodbye Australia. ⚫ Do it with passion, or not at all. And Be Different, normal is boring. Really. ✌

I'm sorry, but if you loved this club for 2 years and dreamed to play for it, you should be doing everything in your power and work your ass off to play for the team. You shouldn't come here with hype and think you're going to kill the A-League and be a starting XI player from the get go.

And for the all the fangirls crying on social media, saying Popa is wrong and Saba is God, STFU. Your loyalty is to a player that has played a handful of games over Popa who has given this team a Premier's Plate and the ACL Trophy.

Get your loyalties right and fix your short term memories.

Popa took a risk bringing an untested young player. It didn't work. Popa will learn from this hence why he has recruited 2 tried and tested seasoned Japanese/Visa players.

We follow the team, not the individual player.

Saba may not have been given the time needed. But we are halfway through the season now. He took a while to get fit and if Popa thinks he is lazy at training and not gelling, then his word is what matters.

lol that's 100% bullshit, streaming our games for two years and a half?

Really, he was getting up in the middle of the night in Italy.

Saba is a guy who knows how to say all the right things, but when it comes to actually doing the right things he's found wanting. He lives on his charm.

Yeah obviously not a happy camper.

I for one don't care what happened - just glad it's sorted. He did seem like a Passionaite block and showed glimpses of brilliance but 6 moths on wasn't consistent enough? No

Thanks and enjoy your career Id say you one step away from third division in Brazil playing for rent money

How to remove a name and number from a football shirt:

Haha

haha i started trying that but its not easy because of the mesh part of the jersey.

Could be worse...  :ninja:

Haha so true.... The cost of that shirt would of been crazy with the pound per letter pricing!

You know what?

I think the majority of people that got Saba on the back of their jerseys, would not regret doing it one little bit.

Saba WAS passionate, for the club, for the colours.

Sooooooooooo, you got Saba on the back of your jersey then ? ;)

I will defend any player that puts on our shirt as long as they give their best and do the right thing by the team. this bloke didn't -  not disciplined, didn't track back, didn't work at training (reportedly) and carrying on like a muppet in the media. we are a team built on a working class ethos - can't have this. glad to be rid.

Shame it didn't work out but if he wasn't fitting in with the Wanderers work ethic, if he wasn't impressing at training, if his attitude was being question by Popa/coaching team, then its the best result all round that they part ways.

Wish him the best for the future though, hope he finds his niche.

It's ok guys, we'll just be a team of robotic, cliche packhorses. Who cares if they're not suited to play that role in the team, they train hard and can run around like headless chooks, that's all that matters.

Nobody is saying that the players can't have personality,

just have to get their priorities right

If he had the passion guys like Bridge, Trifrio, Tyson and Dino had, he'd still be here.

Yeah, he'd still be here, like Tyson & Dino are still here...   :ninja::P

Saba has more potential in his position than either of those two had in theirs. And he has thrown away this chance. I don't think you could say either Dino or Tyson didn't give 100% and Tyson did even more than what Saba did off the field and did his job on the field better than Saba when he got his chance.

Also :P back.
