I was going to go, but unsure...

If ESFC can’t score at least 3 goals they may as well fold.

A bit of pressure on Corica here. He needs a derby win and I expect them to go much more direct in this game. Caceras was one of their better players last time and he only played the last 15, we didn't handle him so well.

They spent far too long dinking balls out wide around the penna box. With La Fondre back they have a better threat also.

Cold evening at a open and not so great for atmosphere SCG. Need to get away to a good start again and get the first goal, or I fear the worst.

The only positive into this I take is they haven’t been very good of late, they are very beatable

And yet they have a pretty good chance of finishing second. They haven't been that crash hot most of the season. What does that say about us and the comp lol.

Any team that has been on a half decent run and put a few small runs together will make the 6. Yet here we sit scrapping for our lives to make 6th spot with a pretty decent roster lol

Exactly

We looked like we were starting that run and then last week we blow it

We can still make it now 4 games to go 2 at home and all the games against teams battling for the 6

Three reason I am not going:

a) We are gonna lose

b) SCG is a crappy venue to watch us lose (might as well be cheering from home for all the atmosphere it has)

c) I am not giving those pricks my money (especially to watch them beat us and end our final hopes).

And even if I am wrong about a), b) and c) would still be true.

Depends how much money you have left at the end of every week. If you aren't getting value for money.....

So as a Boro fan you wouldn't go to a big away game at Newcastle/Sunderland/Leeds because you don't like giving them your money?

I stopped going to ESFC home derbies probably 4-5 years ago due to the blatant and deliberate price gouging. When it became close to $50/ticket I couldn't justify giving them my money anymore.

So Ninkovic, Bobo and Baumjohann starting from the bench tonight

Certain starters on Sunday

I'd rather see Bobo start than Le Fondre....

Well, don’t get me started on away ticket pricing in England, here is nothing compared to there lol A call on if I would go or not would be my own funds, and form. Although less so form as diehard Boro that follows through thin and thin. Missing a game was always a hard call, but had been done.

Yes. ( I’m not a Boro fan. )

I would go to every other away games. Except east Sydney. You are not from. The balkans so you don’t understand.

Went to the last game at SSG and it was disgrace , could not see a thing as the crowd was to far away , Chris Beath the 12 man for FC pinged us for a technically correct offside and Babbel was sent off.

Why would you want to go there Cheating beath will probably be the ref.

Yeah, listen. I have stood on a terrace at Grimsby on a wet Tuesday night with a cold wind whipping in off the north sea for a lower mid table game with about 50 of us there. Back then though the cost of entry to a terrace was about the same as a serve of fish n chips from the chippy.

There are times though when for whatever reason your buttons are pushed enough to make you angry enough to say 'no' not this time. I think actually the older you get the more likely you are to get angry lol As a teenager with funds you just went to every game regardless as part of the fun was the day / with your mates. That feel changes a bit...away ticket prices in England killed it all really.

I'm not going to have a go at anyone not turning out for this anyway.

Hey Keithie, sorry if my comment offended you mate, simply just answering the question you posed which was "why would you want to go there".

You sound like a very loyal fan, keep it up lad.
