WHACKO Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Not much in the way of reading. So he'll probably become another Bobo or Janko. Carns 1
Carns Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Why is a 26 year old on loan so much? Doesn't seem to have been very prolific (that's probably the reason).
Davo Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 16 goals in the last 5 years isn't great for a striker, although its tough to just how foreigners will go in the A-League.

MartinTyler Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 With all those recent loan moves you'd have to think that either he's a disruptive influence in the changing room or he's got a severe dose of BO sonar 1

There have quite a high % of their players out. Daniel Penha is up to 9 clubs in 4 years, yet he's clearly an excellent player in this league. If theres another club offering a better loan fee and their players keep playing, they just run with that. Players dont seem to argue about it because their parent club pays them a decent wage so its all fine Carns 1

Juve sorta had as many except their weird joint agent ownership means they often dont count as real loans. Apparently right now the leader is Arsenal with 25 players out on loan MartinTyler 1
GunnerWanderer Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I like the fact they are taking a punt of 26 year old instead of some has-been. and if it doesn’t work out they send him back. I’d like to see more of this in a-league ie younger players opposed to old journey men, his record isn’t sparkling so wouldn’t expect him to tear the league apart, they do have a good track record with import strikers though so who knows.
MathyouWSW Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Could be a strategic move for them. If he flops, he's on loan, they can send him home early. If he cooks up a storm here, I would assume that there's an option to buy him for Sydney FC?

A partner visa isn't the same as citizenship. You have to do 4 years on the visa first. PR also isn't the same as a citizenship, hence the big drama between Ninkovic and SFC despite him being a PR already. StringerBellend and MathyouWSW 2
