November 2023 probably for the initial group stage. The Asian cup is going to move from June 2023 to Dec 23/Jan 2024, then the 3rd round group stage (the big one) from Sept 24 to June 25.

My summary:

- A top World Cup tournament, last round of group games were like knockouts. 

- Loved the 9pm and 6am games

- Not so much Croatia's 2am games

- The 6am games stuffed my morning gym routine, so im fatter as a result 

- Argentina deserved winners, Messi now has completed football - he is the GOAT

- Croatia's had another fairytale run

- First world cup I've watched with my son, with him getting up for most games, and getting into games like Japan vs Costa Rica and Poland vs Saudi Arabia lol

- Mbappe is the new generation that will take over from Messi & Ronaldo

- Amazing final - really end to end, with Martinez saving the one at the death

- Hard to get pumped for club football now, feels like the season needs to be started again. The players need a break, so will be interesting to see how the players kick-on after this and whether injuries will play a role in a couple of weeks / months. Will be a long season for some of them.

I would assume that you turn the Groups of 8 and 16 into a league table use points, then  goal difference, then goals for and if teams can't be separated, then fair play (yellow and red cards).

Japan had to 9th with a penalty shoot out to determine their result in the round of 16

One of the best World Cup finals I have ever watched.

I wont say Messi is the best ever, I still think Pele and Maradonna are just ahead of him in terms of GOAT but Messi is the best player of the last 20 years, you don’t see players who can play with their heads up and be able to run pass players with ease.

I don’t think we will see a player as great as him for a while. Mbappe is the current generation talent but I think he needs to get out of that PSG bubble and excel against top class players in a top league like La Liga, Serie A and EPL.

2 of those goals were penalties. If they were all in open play, that would be more extraordinary.

This is plus in winter too, so temps were like -1 degrees.

When we came runners up - it took them something like 6hrs on the bus from airport to that part of town, mind you its a 20-30min drive. The bus was like 4-5hrs late to the scheduled time. All the streets were blocked.

Half the players were pissed, drinking all that time on the bus haha, Vida - nearly fell off the top of the bus, one of the players held up him up.
