Daniel Wilmering & Alex Bonetig played last night in the NPL squad so they may not play tonight. If they do, I would assume they're on the bench.

The mysterious Beadling on the bench then. Have to say the NPL squad passed well and played well against tough opponent. Sapsford won a penalty being fouled by Prendergast

Mate, we are second. If we are waiting for Barca in their prime style football, it will never happen. I feel like this will be a forum of crowd excuses for along time. And league wide - so entitled.  No basic understanding, or acceptance of probability, that when someone wins, someone else loses.

It goes deeper than that.

Ongoing **** performances, losing iconic players (Bridgey, Santa, NTS) without replacing them, never ending crap recruitment (GK, central defence, imports), the managerial merry go round, the Homebush experience, Covid, some of our pre game watering holes in Parra gone (Royal Oak Hotel) or changed (Woolpack), the RBB splitting and ongoing changes with capos, Lowy and Gallop gifting us the Bulls, the club having to play pre season games behind closed doors, life happening to people (getting married, having babies, moving away, getting older, developing different interests etc) - all of that made and makes a difference.

Just look at what is happening (or rather: not happening) here on the forum in the build up to a derby - we’ve lost a lot of the old guard, and they are yet to be replaced in sufficient numbers by the next generation.

Saying all of that: as much as I dislike Rudan being at the club, he says all the right things, he gets the West. And the RBTV interview with the two Ms gives me hope that the players get “us”.

Time to get the “pride power west” slogan out of Kennards storage facility.

Ever since we returned to Parra the Smurfs have been struggling against us, even though they were top and we were ****.

19/20 - 2 wins, 1 draw (under Babbel and JPdM)

20/21 - 1/1/1 (under CR)

21/22 - 1/1/1 (under CR and Rudan)

We need to give them 90 minutes of football, and the result will sort itself out.

I was just about to write we need to give them a good kick in the first 10mins

But I'm just not sure we need too..we have the better team in pretty much every position. Which one of them would you take? We just need to play our football and the rest will fall in to place.

Tough game for WSW - Corica and Sydney know they have to give 100% to stay in the top six

Historically, WSW has had problems going into a game as favourites only to choke at home

wouldn't be surprised by a 1 goal loss

Graham Arnold, October 2nd, 2015:

"Sydney FC can never go [into a derby] with the underdog status. The Wanderers are trying to get to where Sydney FC are in terms of the size of the club, but also the training facilities and everything. So the Wanderers are new, they’re young. We said it last year, they’re our younger brothers down the road and we’ve got to make sure we show them that we are the bigger club and the elder statesman.”

Let's give the Corica as the heir of Arnie and leader of the elder statesmen and favourites a night to remember then.

8 years later and their training facilities etc are still borrowed from Mac Uni, we have TwelvtyFive pitches and more.

It's been lacking on pitch but I feel like that changing too, like I say Dona combined derby team, who would you take?

In the absence of a CF: Le Fondre (he's the man who can make the difference for them), and Grant as RB (the football player, not the twat). Beyond that they have nothing that we don't have.

I think we have them in defence, definitely. Midfield we're probably ahead, especially if Nink and Schneid get going.

Their strength is attack and they have a striker who can get in position and score.  He's been a bit of this season but scoring again the last few games. We don't have that so far. Lolley is good and makes things happen. He can score and assist.  Borello/Yeni perhaps match him except he has a target man up front.

This game will obviously be win on scoring goals and we are yet to set the world alight doing that. We were fortunate last debt that they couldn't score either and we had that moment o of Yengi class. We have to defend our backsides off, not give ALF our Lolley time, control the midfield and not let Caceres and Burgers find their game - and score the goals when they are on offer.

Not much really!!

Get in the face of Retre, Donachie, Brattan and Burgess will do the trick. They all have short fuses.

Even without our new striker, I think Yengi, Yeni (who only played 5-10 mins last derby) and Borello firing should be enough to get through their shaky defence. Our midfield is also much stronger than last derby with the addition of Bozanic and Schneiderlin.

The main difference for them from last derby is the addition of Le Fondre but also the loss of Grant.

Thank God for those 25 pitches, it makes the failure of the last 7 years or so much more bearable eh.

If you're into fried chicken, a new joint opened up in Church Street opposite Frankie B's. Tried it last night. It's decent and has a fair few options on the menu.

This and they have to do exactly what Rudan said last derby in the A-League All-Access: Milos Ninkovic. The defensive half of the squad need to stop the wingers from providing crosses at all times.

3-1

We are favourites.

Keepup has odds as even. No clear winner but we started at not likely winners.

Now its luxury respite care... I'm sorry I don't need it yet, I'm young and down with the kids I'm very much liking the Hippity hop and the Onefours and Linkin Park's that they have these days

I should add the above post refers to adverts on this page not actual women approaching me in the street
