I sort of expect the Jets stand in coach will know enough about CR's tactics from his stint at the Jets to set up the Jets to nullify what we try to do. 0-0 unless the Jets jag a goal.

Defensively Jets still are quiet stacked with Topor, Boogard in centre defense and Duncan as the keeper, the midfield still has Urgakovic its their attack that is quiet blunt despite O'Donovan in the team. We should be expected to get a result but it all depends if our attackers can break open the defence as we did against Macarthur and actually score this time *****

Unfortunately the results we should get and what we actually end up getting are two different things these days so I have zero confidence in making a prediction.

I will say though, this is an absolute banana skin game if ever I’ve seen one...

You all sound like Everton supporters!

It turns out you also can’t go to the A-League (as well as the cricket) if you’re from some of the identified NSW hot-spots.

This was posted earlier this afternoon by the management of the Newcastle stadium, where the Newcastle Jets will face the Western Sydney Wanderers in an A-League round two match on Friday:

Yeah I’m up at Nelson bay on the news which is Newcastle feed it showed images of past wsw away game and said the list of hotspot surburbs would be banned

Not at all. Just a concern about this match. I'm hopeful about the future but not getting carried away. I'm certainly not predicting we will thump anyone (at this stage anyway).

If he can't bring a strategy that hasnt been seen by the stand in we have the wrong coach. The flip side of that is Carl should be well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of that back line.

This should be 2-0 win against a team that is surely favourites for the spoon. If we fall at this VERY low hurdle then I'll be very disappointed

Hey all, i was thinking of Getting up to Newcastle tomorrow night but I am in Westmead, same postcode as Wentworthville. Is it worth going there and will I be let in? Anyone with any information, I would appreciate it very much.

My feeling at the moment is...if unsure..any uncertainty at all...don't travel.

Thanks Smoggy. I am thinking thats the right decision, unless told otherwise.

I agree with Smoggy but if your postcode or suburb is not mentioned, you should be ok.

In saying that, don't take the risk. Keep an eye out tomorrow for any updates.

This is a MUST WIN for the squad, no excuses. They are playing a club that is in shambles on and off the field so that should give them a bit of confidence into this game. If there's one person that should fire up in this game, it should be Ibini and I would love to see him smash one in the back of the net.

I would like to see the squad win by 2 goals (or more) but...a win in general would be delightful.

For those travelling to the game, stay safe. :good:

Other suburbs with Postcode 2145

South Wentworthville, Greystanes, Girraween, Pemulway, Westmead, Mays Hill, Pendle Hill, Constitution Hill.

I grew up there but haven't lived there for years.

Going to say this will be a draw - either 0-0 or 1-1. I'd like to get on the Eetswa train, but I haven't seen enough of what the team can do frankly. On paper the team look strong, but we all know that means.
