Just to put into perspective how big the rivalry between club in Saudi Arabia:

This hashtag was created by rival clubs' fans yesterday after you guys won https://twitter.com/hashtag/كلنا_سيدني?src=hash

which translates roughly to "we are all with Sydney" (sorry guys, everyone in Saudi even the media, call your team Sydney not Western Sydney :P), also they created many account with the name "Saudi fans of WSW' and many of them even changed their profile pictures to your team's logo. If that wasn't enough, one of the Al-Nassr (Biggest Al-Hilal rivals) attended your match yesterday and shot this video mocking Al-Hilal :rofl:https://vine.co/v/OmJdbZLaltK

Damn, here we were thinking it was the fans of your team travelling to do recon on our team, better still it was from a rival club who was trolling you guys!!! Wow!!

Why are you guys hated so much in your own country?

What sort of atmosphere do your crowds create? Just reactionary stuff like whistling or heckling? Or is it more chants??

Do the fans pay for the tifo's you create or is it club funded? How do you manage to get around AFC restrictions when they are so strict in what you can say or do?

What are your active fans like? Does your club take a liking to pyro or flares? :ninja:

Roughly how much is your club valued? Do you guys have a salary cap? Who is your highest paid player? What is the combined amount spent on salaries at your club?

You mentioned that that Seoul's style of play would have suited you better than the Wanderers but in actual fact we are quite similar to Seoul in terms of the way play. Are you predicting a tight game with minimal goals? Or are you quite confident of scoring freely if and when you need to? The Wanderers are quite adept at hitting on the counter, how will you guys counter this especially being weak in the air?

What do you think of your coach? He doesn't sound like he has that much experience or has he coached for 5-10-15 years before taking up a role at your club? Do you think he is the sort of manager who makes things happen with his tactics or substitutions or is it the fact that you have very good players? Is he more of a motivator or tactician?

How would you rate your previous opposition? Was it that you were the better team anyway or did they just under perform or don't you think much of them (as in they wouldn't have beaten an East Asian opposition anyway)? You seemed to score plenty of goals in the semi final, why are you thinking so conservatively in terms of it being a 0-0 in the first leg of the final?

How have you gone in the domestic league this year? Where do you think you'll finish? Will you qualify for champions league football again?

What do you think of the way that the AFC splits up east and west Asia going into the final as opposed to the semi or quarter final? Do you think this advantages you or do you think you still would have progressed against a Evergrande or FC Seoul?

It sounds really hard to get multiple visas in such a short period of time for the second trip, do you think the club and government will allow wsw fans to travel to your country on such short notice? What about our wives and girlfriends who wish to make the journey, there are plenty of rumours that it is not really inviting country for women?

Lol , Hilal , meet Prydz our resident detective! :P

lol! Prydz is nothing compared to Mr Invisible on the Bulldogs forum, the kennel.

They allegedly may have a slight racism issue to deal with.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/oct/01/asamoah-gyan-racism-accusation-afc-champions-league

The Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan has accused an Al Hilal player of racially abusing him during their AFC Champions League semi-final second leg on Tuesday.

The Ghanaian was sent off with 20 minutes remaining for a lunging scissor tackle on Salem al-Dawsari as Al Ain were knocked out 4-2 on aggregate despite winning Tuesday’s home match 2-1.

The Romanian midfielder Mihai Pintilii ran over to Gyan to remonstrate after the tackle near the left-hand touchline, which sparked a melee between a number of players from both sides.

The Ghana captain, the tournament’s top scorer with 12 goals in as many games, posted a message on his Twitter account on Wednesday saying “it happened†with a link to an article claiming he was subjected to “racist abuseâ€.

“The player has no right to tell me what he did,†Gyan said. “He said something to me which made me upset. He said an abusive word – I really didn’t like it.

“He knows what he said, you can ask him. He knows what he said.â€

The article added that Al Ain were expected to launch a formal complaint to the Asian Football Confederation upon gathering all details about the case.

Gyan, who joined the club originally on loan in 2011 before making the deal permanent a year later, was involved in some pushing and shoving before leaving the field following the dismissal which came with the scores level on the night at 1-1.

The 28-year-old said he deserved the red card. “I must confess it was a harsh tackle. But in my mind I did not go for the player, I just went in strong for the ball,†Gyan said. “I am a professional.

“The referee took his decision. It is football so I cannot complain. I lost my head a bit, but life goes on.â€

Al Hilal will face the winners of Wednesday’s second semi-final between Western Sydney Wanderers and FC Seoul which is level after a goalless first-leg draw in South Korea.

Are there any questions about Al-Hilalt Club ?

a serious question,

whats the level of terrorism threat in Saudi Arabia at the current moment?

Or is Saudi Arabia fairly protected from all of the stuff thats going on in Northern Iraq and Syria??

There is no terrorism in Saudi Arabia and anyone can sleep in the street without anything happening to him

Television match broadcasting rights[edit]

Al-Hilal receives SR 4.5 million per year (USD 1.2 million/year) from the Saudi Arabia Football Federation as the federation sell the complete matches' right in one package and all the clubs in the Saudi Professional League share the revenue equally. The income may increase dramatically in near future as clubs will have the rights to sell their own matches' broadcasting rights.

Other income sources[edit]

The club's president and other board members pay any extra money required to run the club as the total expenses of the club in recent seasons surpassed SR 140 million (USD 38 million). This increase in expenses is due to the high level foreign and national players the club signed with such as Thiago NevesMirel RădoiChristian WilhelmssonOsama HawsawiYoussef El-Arabi and others.
