BoyFromTheWest Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Probably no real surprise but first game in charge is us - Derby just took on a different level. He'll have a couple of weeks to work and they will have something to prove to the new manager. Not good. alexd and jockman 2
mack Posted November 8, 2023 Author Posted November 8, 2023 Talay isn't anything special. Sure he might have success but I can't see him doing some Ange like 30+ unbeaten run, or even a Popa 10+ game winning run. Nothing to be afraid of. 102megan 1
BoyFromTheWest Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Just the bounce with a new coach and a better tactician the Corica.
Keithie Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 There is a stench what is smells for me is Arnie gives Talay a job when the writing was on the wall for Corica and Corica gets the flick and waiting in the wings is Talay his salary was paid for with our money what a joke , it will be confirmed if Talay is replaced by Arnie maybe he will give Corica the job but I doubt I think it was always a job to help Sydney FC StringerBellend 1

Zelinsky Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Watching that game last night, I could not help but think that the Smurfs look like a shadow of their former self. Then I did a bit of "research" (formerly know as "Google searches"). When we beat them at the arnie-gate game at ANZ in Feb 2017, they had a starting 11 of Vukovic, Grant, Buijs, Wilko, Zullo, O'Neill, Brilliante, Ninkovic, Brosque, Holosko, Bobo. Ibini and Simon came on as subs. Carney and Dimitrijevic stayed on the bench. All of that under the cap, apparently - how about that for a laugh? No wonder they were almost untouchable. Things look very different when they have to abide by the cap rules: they are forced to play youngsters like everyone else. EmMac, SBW, sonar and 5 others 8

Sithslayer1991 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 From Wikipedia, you look at the A-league teams 8 years ago they are all quiet strong aside from Mariners. Arnold and Ange both have a set system and players recruited based on how best they fit their systems. Have to remember how poorly managed we were by comparison just buying players and the coach thinking this was like Europe when its not. Davo Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Should we remove the Sydney Opera House from the logo? Nah, nobody will notice it behind the handshake clipart used in every high school presentation that mentions "collaboration".

StringerBellend Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 They are going to win it. get used to it kids it will be less painful later Trust me
Sithslayer1991 Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 Yea I think Lolley being out is a non issue. The way Talay has been getting them to play everyone knows their role so no matter who goes out the person who slots in knows the plan. Talay has gotten the best out of a squad Corica built, and they are the only team that has beaten Mariners since the beginning of the season. Its...annoying they have someone competent at the helm now. BoyFromTheWest 1
