I think this match could be turning point in the season for us , win and we maintain second , lose and we drop to 4th and on past form it usual means a slide down the table , let’s hope this is not the case this year.

If we lose then Adelaide could also jump above us on goal difference if they beat Perth (who are in last) and we'd be in 5th. If our match is a big loss and the Jets can beat the Smurfs by a bunch then we could finish the round in 6th though that's far less likely.

Any idea when we will announce our new striker?

Not sure, but apparently they're looking to bring 2 forwards in according to one of the clubs head recruiters.

Sounds to me like they're being proactive given our situation.

Yesterday it was announced there are multiple A-League clubs looking to bring Mabil in on loan, maybe we are one of them?

Huge if true, our depth up front has been an issue all season (even when we've been winning)

Rude Boy has said Ninko is Aussie now and we are talking to overseas attacking players so that should be one, not sure what the local options are.

I'd be shocked if we brought anyone in during the January transfer window

Given all of the talk around A-League finances, clubs like ours, Victory and ESFC will just say:

"Look, you fans just don't know enough about business to understand what's going on here. We'd like to sign some players but Covid took a big toll".

I'm expecting to hear that for at least 10 years

Currently raining at Annangrove (@ the rels).

First game of 2023 at home and it might be a wet pitch.

The news comes from Eddie Bosnar who has apparently done/contributed to a lot of the recruiting this season.

Sun is out in Parra now. I think the rain is done, but there was a few showers earlier.

I am a late scratching

I have Covid lol

Happy New Year huh

(I’m feeling ok, symptoms are very mild, just staying home and resting)

You should uber in a feed from a restaurant in Parra just to keep the day feeling somewhat normal.

I finally took krpic out of my fantasy team (after he's destroyed his value by ineptitude) so seems like I've got the same level of patience as Rudan. I could only afford bring in David Ball from the Nix.

You know he's scoring a Hatty off the bench now, right?

We still haven't beaten the Bovines yet. Tonight feels like a good time to start..

If it's true Yengi is starting, Krpic might have played his last game. At least starting

Bovines. Lol.

Let's hope they are dumb today.

I don't know why, but I had this vision in my mind that this is the game that Sapsford will start to a huge impact for the club. So, I'm hoping he'll come off the bench, replace either Amalifitano or Yengi and scores the winner.

Going with 1-0 here.
