mack Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Newcastle Jets vs Western Sydney Wanderers VS Date: 26/04/25 Sydney Kick-Off Time: 5:00PM EST Round: 28 Competition: A-League Regular Season Location: Newcastle, New South Wales Stadium: Newcastle Stadium View full record
Sithslayer1991 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Very cautious with this one because of Kota, Adams and Rose combo. But defensively with Natta they are still vulnerable. It will be a very different jets to the one we hammered last time. Hopefully the Jets of the WU and last weekend (2nd half) comes around and not the one that beat Victory and took it to Auckland.
MathyouWSW Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Just win... That's all I want from the squad... EmMac, LetsPele and pseudonym 3
mack Posted April 22 Author Posted April 22 Milanovic getting carded after the match might cause problems, he's on 7 cards so another one and he'll get banned for the final game. I think they carry over into the finals as well so if he doesn't get it this match but gets it in the last he'll miss week 1 of the finals.
Carns Posted April 22 Posted April 22 If they do carry over surely better to cop one this week to get the suspension out of the way rather than missing any finals match. nmh94 1

The Jets are at best an NPL level team with the exception of few of their players, Kota, Eli Adams and Clayton Taylor, the rest are trash, LA Rose is just a **** Matt Simon and they don't have the players who are talented enough to compete against us. They just overachieved this season because of their Japanese player. We should thrash them this Saturday, no exceptions. WanderingToquii 1

He is the main threat followed by Adams. We should have more than enough to overpower the Jets. But I am still cautious just because of Kota's ability and leadership. BoyFromTheWest 1

Check Page 63 to double check Thats last years but it seems to have been the same in the others I could find. However if he gets his 8th in the last round, I think he still has to serve a suspension in the finals. I think... kinda guessing Edited April 22 by Upthehill mack 1

BoyFromTheWest Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Away in Newcastle is always a tough game for us, regardless of where we each are on the table. I'm not expecting any easy ride. Potkorok, jockman, nmh94 and 2 others 5
WanderingToquii Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Borello will come into form against the jets. He'll get a brace. Jets 0 - WSW 2 WE'VE GOT THIS! StringerBellend and MartinTyler 2

SOS4WSW Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I've never been to a Newcastle away game. A couple of questions: 1. With the predicted weather, is there shelter from the rain? 2. Do we get a members discount on tickets?

If possible try waiting until match day to buy your tickets WSW might get a discount code from the Bulls Or the Bulls may have a general offer as it's a free to air game so wouldn't want the crowd to seem sparse Sithslayer1991, SOS4WSW and Potkorok 3
PedroPony Posted April 23 Posted April 23 You can just purchase the cheapest ticket available and move to the away bay can't you? Pretty sure there are no limits on movement within the ground. StringerBellend, SOS4WSW and Sithslayer1991 3

Last season when I went they weren't checking tickets to enter away area but even if they do you could just move to the section next to it and then scoot over when security get bored. Extract from the A leagues rules book In A-League Men's competition, a player accumulates mandatory match suspensions based on yellow card accumulation during the regular season and finals series. During the regular season, the first five yellow cards lead to a one-match suspension. After the first suspension, eight yellow cards or three additional yellow cards after the first suspension lead to another one-match suspension. In the finals series, four yellow cards lead to a one-match suspension. Yellow card accumulation is reset at the end of each regular season and finals series. Does the hilited comments above mean that Milanovic gets a yellow in last game he does not serve it as the yellows reset for the finals ?
Carns Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I would assume he still has to serve the suspension. StringerBellend 1
mack Posted April 23 Author Posted April 23 Various players have been suspended for a Week 1 finals game but that was after straight reds (or for Harry Novillo, a suspension for an offence at half-time that would have been a red card). I looked for a player who got an 8th YC in the final game but couldn't find one.
William Posted April 23 Posted April 23 So we should play Milanovic this week end and if he gets through without a caution rest him for the last game
MathyouWSW Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Bays 9 & 10 (two bays for away seating) are sold out. The club are looking at getting another section for away seating. StringerBellend, nmh94, GunnerWanderer and 1 other 4
