We are horrid. Atrocious. Ziggy comes back and that's going to somewhat help defence so I'm not overly worried there. The thing that concerns me is our midfield is useless and we have no one to bring in! Baccus and O'Doherty give it their best but they are just too inexperienced and not good enough. Where is Roly????? For all the hate he gets his start to this season was decent.

Roly has a hamstring injury from training Wednesday week before last. Might have something to do with new conditioning coach

I think we need to be realistic.  The quality we have doesn't come anywhere near the top 3 unfortunately.  That's not Babbels fault. We have young local players up against quality internationals tonight. As I have said we are in a league of 5 to fight for anywhere between 4th and 8th.  I think we are better than the mariners and Nix but no one else.

i reckon elrich was very lucky - the law change only applies to fouls that result from attempts to play the ball - not sure if whatever the hell elrich did qualifies.

Saving grace was that the "legitimate challenge" side of it is a very lenient law. Last year Reddy (I think it was last year) got away with an awful studs up challenge that completely missed the ball and hit our player in the knee because of it.

The slipping falling over attempted header on the turf is probably the last potential type of action that would still be covered by it.

He's not a CB. Needs to come off. He'll get sent in the second half almost guaranteed.

He's had a full pre-season. He bought in some players. He didn't show up to revolution the team. He's at fault.

of course he is. we are set up VERY naive and open. we are heavy underdogs going in and we should be set up to defend - fullbacks hold position, less pressing, lines close to each other, 2 holding mids screening but we aren't - we are open and have paid for it. its poor and not good enough.

however, we sat through 4 or 5 gumby performances as bad or worse than what we just witnessed and many - you included - said it wasn't his fault, he needed time and his own players.

We are crap. The players do not know how to press, we have only player in midfield, and no-one who knows how to take players on in attack. We are 3rd rate compared to  the Mexicans, smurfs and popas team . Fffffffff. K

loose to the bottom place team at home one week, play the same team against one of the top teams away.. We must be really struggling with sguad depth...

Unless of course we get this 5-4.....

    it's been done before...

why does he deserve a chance we gombau didn't.

Welcome to the club. Did that a few years ago under Popa for a game at AAMI Park.

LOL tokich and Sotirio on but keeps Elrich at CB where he is completely out of his depth. At least give young Tass a go in a game that's already over.

    End of Majok's career perhaps.

    Looks like it huh

In a team stacked with wingers, now that Babbel is back to Sotirio... could be a while, if ever, until we see him again

Even though that sequence was offside, I think it’s a good psychological boost for us and a negative one for Victory that we were able to put the ball into the net

    4-3, could still happen...

    I'll have what your smoking....

    • Hard agree on both. Hendrix should be instantly resigned if he wants to stay, I'm just assuming he doesnt want to be here based on what others have said. Marcelo is absolutely fantastic in static situations (corners, set pieces) or when hes in between the ball and the goal. But He's been caught out with the higher line this season quite a lot, but he's almost older than the pyramids so thats to be expected
    • Holman's yellow, taking out Brattan was equivalent to both of reds - Simmons and Beadling. Neither of their tackles resulted in injury but Brattan stays down and guess off... A little inconsistent referring this season!
    • I agree, but the ref has taken it as literally the last man in the box, and seems to dismissed the logic that there was never a clear goal coming from that   no chance for Macarthur now, down a man and three goals with 30 to go.   if the French bloke had scored right near the end of the first to make it 1-1 it’d be way more interesting
