Hostile reception from Sektion 22 on the cards?

When The Cove (in their post) called the RBB cosplay ultras my immediate thought was of the well 'ard Sektion22 and their hectic tug of war vs Roar fans

The cove hated being part of collective action, like you said, always last to the table, always asking why this, why that, why should we do etc etc, always first to break, always resisting participating in the actions until the last second and always picking the side of the FFA (when Frank Lowy owned the FFA and part of Sydney FC). In that context them trying to get one up on the other groups in a situation where there was no collective action it makes perfect sense.

Boycott a semi-final which was being hosted by the right team, because they thought they would lose.

Attend and celebrate a grand final which Sydney stole the hosting rights from Western United, because they thought they would win.

Get a zoom call with an APL chief who was in the process off being fired & shipped off to the Middle East, hear a bunch of empty promises and already in place measures, change your mind and attend your home semi-final against Melbourne City.

I think it's more likely that Sektion 22 will be the group getting the reception, not the other way around. Whoever wrote that diatribe seems to have forgot they aren't just representing people via a keyboard, they're doing it a few days before their group and the group they're calling out will show up in the same location.

Time for Western Sydney to dominate again on and off the field. Kudos to all who will either go to match or fill their local pubs watching the game, the more publicity we get for derbies the better it will be for the game.

We need this fixture to be up again as a set date on everyones calendar and to not be forgot by the media.

Rudan will have the boys up and firing for sat night reminding them of who they represent and what it means the wear the red and black hoops!

All lining up to be another awesome night..

Just need an @Unlimited updated on how he has gone platinum again, even though he has hated it every time. And where he will be eating his pre game meal for 1 and we are all set as per usual :)

I'm actually out on Saturday :(

I'll be at a wedding (not mine)

Plus at the elimination Final derby, plenty of chants coming from "the active not active area" of sfc supporters

For the record, when I bought my tickets last night, pax was 14396 and 97.

Gone are the days when it would be around 35 000 at this stage.

Those days won't come back unless we or both sides are dominating.

Sydney have more members these days but I can't see it being over 30k

That's the new stadium effect. That'll drop if they have a couple of bad seasons.

PAX doesn't mean how many tickets sold. From what the ticketek lady once told me, Its more like ticket allocations, so one PAX can have numbers between 1 to 10, 000 and another allocations shows pax number between 10, 001 to 20, 000.

I remembered years ago for the Sydney derby I bought a ticket and the pax was 32,000 and the derby only got 20k.

    What a surprise, Rodwell out

    Smurfs

Max Burgess, Nathan Amanatidis and Jack Rodwell are all still unavailable and unable to overcome their injuries before this clash.

Good for us, we tend to make Max Burgess look like Neymar Jnr on a good day

Tomorrow's weather forecast for the derby, rain in the morning and afternoon, high chance of Thunderstorm in the evening.

Looks like there will be lots slips and slides on the field

usually goes in hand with a good few yellows and the odd red when players start sliding in tackles, calling it now there will be a handbags moment ;)

Mmmmm....hard game to predict. Trying hard not to be negative but with our current line up I find it hard to see us getting a win.

    3-1 to the smurfs.

    Hope I'm wrong.

    :flag:

The teams that have troubled us so far have resorted to the lob-over-the-defence and use speed to get behind. It's not the way I imagine Smurfs to play, even if it has exposed us. They fancy themselves as a genuine attacking team, and it could work to our advantage. Our goalline defence has been ok so far.

Borello I can’t imagine being off the bench that guy is one of the fittest blokes you will see on the field he will be firing to go.

tickets galore on the edges and top tiers… need a late surge desperately but you would think most have tickets by now.
