Hughesy
The finish line is in sight, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The end to what has been probably the worst possible 3 seasons and a (unintentionally) memorable chapter in WSW’s history is almost upon us. Everything that could’ve gone wrong has, the only thing missing was a rogue owner resulting in a license revoke. Reflection is all that’s left and one day we will look back and laugh at just how average the experience was. Perhaps one day they can put an asterisk next to seasons 2016/17, 2017/18 & 2018/19 in the record books. Next to the asterisk at the bottom of the page, it will read: “shiit happened”... Football, bloody football hey. How good is it Edinburgh, BoyFromTheWest, scarcev and 5 others 8 Link to comment

Unlimited
You’d expect the players like ABJ or Riera or Hamill or Llorente being ins for the game to be a much more positive influence than losing Tass, Majok, and Baby Baccus I guess that’s the A-League for you Prydzopolis and tardotz 2 Link to comment
matty
No shock, with injuries and Olyroos duty, we're very short. Babel was forced to play players that don't even want to be here. Considering that, they did ok. Prydzopolis, mack, tardotz and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Erebus
We were always on a hiding to nothing with a midfield duo of Mahazi and GG. Said it during the week, and probably the preview thread that we'll get run over. And we did. Lack of pace at the back, Hamill stopping his run to let Krishna shoot instead of continuing and getting in front of him, Vedran thinking the FK was going wide, AB10 not even hitting the target when gifted a pen, noone being able to put a simple pass successfully, Kamau the weak af winger that gets pushed off the ball every single time (ffs Hersi was the same build but won FKs every time. Kamau shows the ball too easily), too many low percentage passes to no one and Kurto didn't have to make a save all game. The Olyroo camp killed us by removing our spine. MB has brought these young kids up to speed because of necessity and we lose them. Thanks Arnie. Not sure why MB didn't give a couple of the NYL mids a start instead of the posers Mahazi and GG. I know the NPL2 season it on and theres a conflict of interest now. HAL season is done, NPL2 just starting so there'd be internal talks as to what the focus should be now... We have decent numbers up front but our back 7 were terrible. Massive overhaul required. Whole season has been plagued by injuries and low motivation by those players still standing. Keithie
Probably the second last season we have to play Wellington. Babbel should tell Australian A league to shove it and go Back to civilization after losing 3 or at least 2 core members of the team for some friendly games on top of a host of injuries. Tree Jack got in behind their defense a number of times and yes I know he badly missed a penalty but I wonder what the game might of been like had we pulled them back to 3-2 I am not sure if Wellington had a shot on goal in the Second half, Mahazi and Gallifuoco was the core of our problem with poor defending and poor distribution so I think with Tas and Keannu back and Elrich dumping Lloriente back out to where he belongs we should bounce back. Young Russell was the sufferer from this defensive midfield disaster yesterday as he did not adjust his game to compensate, needs experience. Roly, well it is obvious he has signed a contract with some one , it was the roly from earlier the season. There were times yesterday when he made no attempt at all to chase a ball with some heart. Still a big Fan of Duke and Yebouh and looking forward to Tas playing with a decent centre back in Ziegler next season and really looking forward to watching the games from centre of the pitch mid level at Home next season. Zelinsky
MB post match our passing was a disaster in the first half easy mistakes in the build up "The other teams are stronger than us, they have different strengths, it is not our strength to fight, to go in the challenges, that is not our game. Our game is to play football, we have these kind of players." Looking forward to having players at WSW next season who fight, go in the challenges, can pass the ball, and don't make easy mistakes in the build up. EmMac and Prydzopolis 2 Link to comment
StringerBellend
I don’t understand what GG was supposed to be doing, he just seem to jog around marking empty space. He looked like an O35s player who we let have a go as he won a play with the Wanderers competition in a box of cereal Jefski and GunnerWanderer 2 Link to comment
scarcev
Always on a hiding to nothing yesterday, the events of the week made football not important to everyone and the Nix had a big reason to perform outside of the table or the score or anything like that. Did not help us that Arnold decided to take the U23s away to a camp to play a ******* friendly against a Malaysian Club side on a non International break weekend (seriously the FFA is so ******* backwards, why would you develop our Youth if you lose them to Mickey Mouse ******* camps like this in a non International break to prepare them for a tournament in the International break against teams you should beat with 8 players). There is no advantage to developing junior socceroos and having them on your books.with **** like this happening. As for the game well as others have said Mahazi is not up to it, Gallifuoco not either although he could be excused as he has only been here a week or so, thought Roly was poor against Nix as he has been every time we have played them Elrich tries but he needs a break, Tate played his worst game for us but hard to blame a kid who is in and then out of the side, Raul doesnt want to be there and Kamau needs another 15kg on his frame. As for Vedran FFS I hate the ****, cannot stand his attitude for someone of such limited talent and ability, he would not get a gig at any other Club. Prydzopolis and Wobblies 2 Link to comment
Keithie
We should remember the decision by the FFA to take 3 players from the team was announced by Marcus Babbel as a disaster to his team and he was proven right. Edited March 18, 2019 by Keithie StringerBellend 1 Link to comment

They did do well enough but was sloppy and hard to watch. Let's hope we can put a better line up against the heartless. EmMac 1 Link to comment

Melbourne City are a good example of mediocre success and mediocre support since their inception so their failings are not seen as extreme as ours. MistahCampoy 1 Link to comment

Paul01
Bozza gave to to Arnie over the Olyroos selection of current first teamers. I saw that Gersbach played for NAC on the weekend and wasn't released. One rule for all? No "it's one Arnie (the Dark Lord) to rule them all" Baccus and Tass staryed in the opening friendly where the Olyroos lost 0-2. Tass started in the 1-1 draw against the Malaysian u23s.
