mack Posted December 1, 2023 Author Posted December 1, 2023 He's only had two regular playing seasons in the A-League. Got 4 goals and 6 goals. Which is a bit worse than Mariners/1st Smurfs season Ibini but better than 2nd Smurfs season/Jets/WSW Ibini. BoyFromTheWest, StringerBellend and Nathg 3

GE942150 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Marcelo just posted a story on Instagram. He is golfing at Elite Golf NSW with the caption "If you can't run, let's work our putting!" He has no strapping on his leg, so doesn't seem to be a serious injury. But since he isn't running, I assume he may miss a couple of weeks. WSWJACK and EmMac 2

After that second half performance with Jorrit at the back, don't think that pairing would be an issue if marcelo out for a few weeks StringerBellend and BoyFromTheWest 2
GE942150 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Yep. Also, Bonetig is back to full team training either this week or next week, so should be back playing next week you would imagine. BoyFromTheWest and StringerBellend 2

SNS100 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Before a ball was kicked this season, I had major concerns for our "squad development". The failure to land the 2 remaining visa spots, as well as the loss of some real gun players, had me thinking we'd be languishing at the bottom of the ladder. We've now lost Borello and Marcelo, and old mate Ninko seems to have fallen apart. Yet, I feel that this team has some fight about it, and the youngsters are looking very promising. When we make the Grand Final vs Victory, in Melbourne at season's end, I predict that this young team could win us that elusive toilet seat 😉 20. Lawrence Thomas 31. Aiden Simmons 16. Tom Beadling 4. Sithslayer1991 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 According to the Keep up podcast Marcelo's injury is achilles related but not serious. I think the club is still assessing when the return date will be. Its unclear if he will be available for this week.

Hopefully its just bruised or swollen and needs a bit of rest. ItchyNek 1
