Description: A young target man forward who scored 4 goals on trial in the Wanderers inaugural match against Nepean. He was allowed to leave the trial to join the Mariners youth setup, but was brought back to the Wanderers as the season began to edge closer with Tony Popovic needing another striker. After good work initially his form slipped, Labinot Haliti's work saw him preferred over Gibbs as the second choice forward and he rarely figured towards the end of the season. Gibbs was subsequently released on April 30, 2013.

Loved his awkward moment yesterday with the ground announcer... GA tried to get him to sing "who do we sing for?" And he just answered "we sing for wanderers" instead.... Everyone kind of trailed off.... Hilarious.

(Didn't as much appreciate the "Who are ya?" that came from the back of 56 after it though)

Just wander if Gibbs has dropped behind Haliti now as Kresinger's preferred sub/replacement...after the Adelaide flogging he seems to have lost a little on field impact when on the ground, whereas Haliti has caught the eye with some solid hit outs (most recently of course was the shot on goal that Remayne barely saved on Saturday night).

Seems like a nice guy. Glad to see him get picked up by someone. Just hope he can be a bit more aggressive in his approach to games. That will make him a much better and more useful player.

How many?

Hersi has his name on one of the matured aged spots.

Context : talking about the youth team over-aged spots...

can safely say a career in scouting players is not going to be forthcoming for taurus :D

Damn. I was always a fan.

I always thought he was unlucky when Dino took his spot. IMO he was playing decent football .. and his goals:minutes ratio was better in comparison.

Heretic!

Seriously though, Gibbs was okay for us but nothing great in 2012/13, and unless the Jets are going to lose both Taggart and Heskey why keep a guy who to be honest is state league standard. Still. he did score once this season just gone so hope he finds a club somewhere
