Often teams get a boost when a manager departs, although that is usually after the appointment of a new manager. How often do we see sides who are like 18 games without a win sack a manager then win the next 4 or 5.

We are better away from home but I dunno, think it will be a draw.

Interesting kick off time on a Sat.. I will be sat with a takeaway burning hot curry and beer watching this one I think   :)

Bulut's in the squad - Popa must surely consider starting him, and it must be close to his last chance to perform. If he doesn't get a start, then he should be let go so he can find a January home.

i think their win was also the change of role for Finkler and Watson as the no 9.

Finkler went to his traditional AM position instead of striker.

Guys, please get a dose of reality.

We have a habit of playing teams back into form, throw in the players will lift there game for the unpicked new coach & Wellington are our bogey team.

This spells utter disaster :woah:

Now I got that off my chest, all is not lost. If we can get back to basics of converting one of our many chances (especially early on) & focus on not being so open (hard when you are behind or trying desperately to get the 3 points) at the back. I still think there is enough in this team to have a decent crack at the second half of the season but we just need things to click. I am hopeful enough that this will happen.

Wellington are our bogey team. They have players that love to play against us.We play every team into form.draw.

Surely Eastern suburbs has taken the "bogey team" spot.

We can actually beat the Nix.

But I agree, Glen Moss to make some world class saves and Barbarrousses to get his fist goal of the season against us. You heard it here first.

I was told Santa wasn't 100% fit against the Victory - would've thought popa wouldn't risk him on the trip unless he's come good this week

"We're creating so many chances week in and week out and against the Mariners we managed to put those chances away," Neville said.

"And last week (in their 3-0 loss to Melbourne Victory) we weren't quite so successful. And we were sloppy in defence and we need to rectify both areas."
