You know that, I know that but I can't ever see the day that approval will be given to sell more standing tickets than what there would be seat spaces, even if the club wanted to it would be very difficult to get approval for.

    Yep, we both know it.

I'm just not so sure the club will put up with seeing half of it empty every game.

I don't think it would be hard to prove that safely, even conservatively, another 500 tickets could be sold.

It might be a case of small steps.

Anyway, we're already 4 pages in to a thread that normally wouldn't have been opened yet, and that has had hundreds of views.

Great decision Mack to open it early. Wish I'd thought of that. :)

Relax the stewarding in seats either side of the standing section, if someone there wants to stand on the side of an empty standing area would it be a disaster...for the big games those seating bays either side will likely have many people standing anyway.

Relaxing things so those people in those end bays can move into safe standing will only result in bigger "emptiness" in those bays than there is in safe standing.

As pessimistic as we aware that it won't nappen, the only fix is sell more standing tickets. Christ the MCG sells (unsafe) standing areas, as I found out for the Real Madrid v Man City match a few years ago.

I refuse to believe that all 3.5k corporates have been sold. I remember Parramatta had a few sellouts & ended up with 28k

Consider that most of the corporate seats aren't sold individually, but on a 'per box' basis, with the tickets given to the purchaser to hand out, the selling of the box doesn't necessarily translate to every ticket being scanned.

Can’t see those on the fourth official panel and those who are new to the league to get there first match. Guessing they’ll pick someone with experience of a big occasion.

Guess the only logical choice is AFC and full time A-League referee Chris Beath then...

Going in pretty confident which says alot, I dread Derbys....I just hate losing to those ESFC scum

But this year we got Jurman, while they got ABJ, and I have more belief in the boss's peaky blinder cap than their Arnie lite

3-1 with Pirmin or the Duke MOM

You're spot on Mack. On quite a few occasions that I've been in a corporate box at ANZ, we'd drive into P0 (car park under the stadium) and walk straight in. We never had our tickets scanned.

Along with the eels opening game at the stadium and their first finals game, this would have to be the biggest game to take place at the stadium so far. If the western stand isn’t minimum three quarters full then it just goes to show that they ****ed up terribly with the design and need to do something about it ASAP.

You could argue that it’s safety is on display right now. Everyone pushing into the middle increases the density of fans similar to what the 1.5 system would be and it works fine.

I wish they’d just open the gate up like they did back in season 1.

This is the first time for a very long time that I have come into Derby week not feeling glum.

Having said that, I dread the amount of open veins on this forum if we don't get the result in this game. It's a long season and we are tracking in the right direction - just remember, win, draw or lose, we're always Red and Black.

Jurman and Schwegler to score for us.

    Man of the match: Schwegler.

Treejack to be as effective as a flyscreen door on a submarine.

He will be Schwegler's little biatch.

    Sydney is black and red!

We have played ESFC 21 times for..... 4 wins.....6 draws.....11 losses.

Time to start evening the score.

    :wanderturtle:

God thats terrible isn't when you look at the stats like that. And most of those 4 wins were in the first 2 or 3 seasons.

In a capped small comp like this 4 wins for 11 losses ffs.

Who wants to get a berejiklian jersey?

Trying to gain support in the West. 5000 members vs 15000 members.

    She just a bandwagoner

Going by there first two games, they did not impress me at all and are not the same team they were over the past few seasons (tbh recruitment was pretty poor for them this season). Also before this season started they lost some back room staff like John Crawley and a few others that were pretty important to them which will be affecting them somewhat.

I believe the boys can get this done if we play like we did against the Vuck and i'm sure the boys will be fired up to tear them a new one!

Some revenge would be good and they get pumped 6-0 :cheeky: *nek minute they turn the camera to ABJ crying in the change rooms* though happy to win this one 1-0

I dont think their recruitment has been poor, they have only replaced a few players. But they did lose their backroom staff in Crawley and Talay.

Smurfs know how to raise their game against us and they are will be up for it.

We just hope that whoever the ref is doesn't get conned the Smurfs cheap antics

Looks like Ziegler, Elrich and Kamau are fit again. Surely the same lineup as last week, maybe with the exception of Ziegler.

Nice headache for the manager although Kamau and Elrich would only be subs imho. I can't think of anyone from last week who deserves to be dropped.......Zeigler for McGowan perhaps. ?

And Müller too by the looks of it, he's not even in the country yet :woah:

The worst (for the game itself, let alone a certain team) is Chris Beath. Whistle happy ****knuckle who makes it all about himself.

Sounds like most A League referees who want to be the star of the show.

No Elrich - still on the injured list.  Can't imagine Muller lining up but good for him to be in the stadium, taking in the culture of his new team.  Will be interested to see if Babel risks Ziegler without much match fitness or Kamau?
