Hmmm...not a big name...don't know much about him tbh...

Still in contract till June 2026....

A lot of talk in Poland of him departing his club. Sounds like there was some sort of falling out. Could even be a loan.

I'm not really fussed on "a big name", they never work out or come for the right reasons. I want someone that gives a sh*t and isn't here for a holiday.

Unlikely we would be buying outright....loan or till end of season contract most likely would think.

Yep, he gives me "don't fall in love with a loan player" vibes like Layouni

Going off these FM stats, Sonny boy isn't too bad, would look like a very decent player in the A-League, he's a set piece taker and we haven't had any decent ones for a long time

He has a rocket of a shot, nice dribbling and a good passing range. Seems like an intelligent player.

Always hard to tell with foreign signings but he looks to be an upgrade of what we have in the attacking midfield position. I've asked a few people who know of him and they gave a tick of approval.

We haven't scored many goals this season and are in desperate need of some creativity and service for our forwards. Hopefully he is the key.

This is the rumour doing the rounds.

Reportedly leaving Rakow. Goal or assist every 148 minutes.

Well above Aleague calibre. Ive seen him play here and there watching Bunde 2 games.

Lets hope he's coming to make an impact rather than just to fill 6 months before rushing back off to an eastern bloc **** hole :D  PLEASE STAY IN OUR WESTERN SUBURBS **** HOLE

Brilliant he can take short corners that we work back to Clisby to kick into the back row of the RBB

Ok may I be the first to suggest

Sonny, yesterday my life was filled with rain
Sonny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain
The dark days are gone
And the bright days are here
My Sonny one shines so sincere
Sonny one so true, I love you

Can dribble, pass, trap the ball, shoot, look up AND find a player on his team, runs well.  Can only be an improvement. we will see.

Calm down,  we're talking Wanderers recruiting here!

Sonny Kittel news fom Poland

Sonny Kittel was the biggest transfer hit of the summer transfer window in the Premier League. Raków Częstochowa paid the German midfielder half a million euros just for signing the contract, and also gave him 33,000 euros in monthly salary. This is a lot of money that was probably thrown away. Journalist Piotr Koźmiński informs that the worst-case scenario is most likely coming true.

This adventure started perfectly. Kittel made his debut in a Champions League qualifying match shortly after signing the contract. And right after entering the pitch, he scored a goal that gave the Polish champions a 3-2 victory over the curse of Polish clubs - Azerbaijani Karabakh. Ultimately, Raków won that two-legged match and was eliminated only in the 4th qualifying round.

However, this was one of the few moments when Raków fans could be happy that Sonny Kittel played in their team. The player, whose monthly salary is EUR 33,000, turned out to be a huge transfer failure. He played little and poorly. He was of no use at all in the group stage of the European cups - and that was where he was supposed to make the biggest difference. Ultimately, his autumn total amounted to just 830 minutes spread over 22 matches, during which he scored four goals and made one assist. A complete disaster.

However, it seemed that Kittel's departure in the winter was a worst-case scenario.  This is what one of Raków's activists claimed, who noted in September that "We still have a lot of games to play in the fall and if he deserves a chance, he will certainly get it."

It looks like the worst-case scenario will come true. Journalist Piotr Koźmiński from WP Sportowe Fakty informed that there may be a breakup soon. "According to our knowledge, the footballer left Raków's training camp in Turkey on Saturday and returned to Germany, where he will decide about his immediate future," we read in his article.

Where can a Raków player go? The German press reported Schalke's interest. There were also rumors linking him with a trip to the United States. Piotr Koźmiński also adds that Kittel received an offer from the Australian league from one of the clubs located in Sydney. If this is how Kittel's adventure in Poland ends, it will be one of the biggest transfer failures in recent years.

Remember texting my brother a photo of me and football god in Parra evening launch "look who the Wanderers have signed" all excited like, he reckoned he was ace and we were going to win the league easily, what a f*****g disappointment he was

According to multiple Polish media outlets, Sonny Kittel will join the Wanderers on a six-month loan spell with option to buy after a disappointing start to life at Raków Częstochowa.

The 31-year-old German-Polish attacking midfielder left his teams training camp last Saturday and flew to Australia to complete medical tests.

Very intrigued on this signing from the compilations i've watched. Seems like we've got a real baller on our hands
