Disgusting incident at the game tonight. All over Twitter. A man wanted to take his disabled daughter to the closest disabled toilet which they use every time the game is at Kogarah. The security say no and that he must go to the other side of the stadium and after he argues with them the police and security kick him out!!

By far the most pathetic and disgusting thing that happened at Kogarah tonight

full disclosure: second place goes to the clodhopping ironically named Victory performance

Well, it's disgraceful, but we all know that this is the sort of **** that happens.  I hope that people finally start realising that football fans have been putting up with this for ages.  But probably the next time security overreact at one of our games the daily telegraph mob and, sadly, probably the gronks in the Cove, will just point the finger and call us hoodlums and terrorists.

Disgusting, but sadly predictable.

I haven't been to Newcastle since a bunch of cops zoomed in and told me and my then 8 year old son to calm down or your out...he stood on a chair with his arm around my shoulder for a few min. Spent the rest of the game with a line of cops behind us watching lol

According to a bogan on social media, police on ray Hadley show said when he attempted to go to the restricted area he didn’t have his kid with him.

oh well that’s that sorted then

let’s for a second assume that’s true (which it isn’t by all reports) does it justify the the 10 armed cops?

Perhaps the twitter footage of her ripping a flare and leading a chant questioning the marital status of the parents of police officers is yet to emerge

Or selling Coke to Ray's son.

Well this all sounds very familiar doesn't it?

Failing to obey 'seating protocols'. What a load of hogwash. Jumped up seccos on a power trip, throwing their 'authority' around and over-policing more like. We've seen it for years so I know which side I'm taking here.

New South Wales Police confirmed the incident, saying they responded to a fan ignoring security requests about "seating protocols".

Failure to comply with seating protocols now requires a 10 policeman escort from the stadium. Wow.

Based on what's being reported (which I dont think is the full story atm), this guy just wanted to use the closest facilities for his daughter, which were in a 'restricted area' (whatever that means). The seco said no and it escalated from there. This is what happens when you pay people to do and not to think. It's not worth the seco risking his job to let this girl through.

Police and secos have a tough job. Sure, they signed up for it, but it's still rough dealing with the situations they come across daily. I have a lot of respect for the job they do. But a little less doing and a little more thinking and we wouldn't even be talking about this right now.

"Football Federation Australia board member Joseph Carrozzi has said the FFA plans to investigate the incident". Yeah, because he's going to sort this out right? He's going to talk to the assistant police involved - and backing the cops on the ground already - and give me a stern talking to. When they've both finished laughing, they'll discuss how long the ban for him and his kids should be, but then decide to take no further action.

I have a son with special needs. Thank goodness he can use the same mens room as me and doesn't need to traverse the 'restricted area' to get to the bathroom.

What a ******* joke
