I dig him, he’s a better fit than Gumby, he seems to be about work hard, play hard pay to win and not philosophy ball so that’s good

I still have no idea what Babel was trying to do

Introduce some European style into Australian fashion......... oh you mean football-wise. :unknw:

Criticise the refereeing so that they improve - that is get better at penalising the team he managed.

Way i see it, when players are performing well and doing what they should no matter what system they are in then fine, then the manager only needs to tinker such as "oh he looks tired" or tactical switch required.

The skill of a manger is a lot of man management of the players, being firm but fair, but firm mostly, when you look at Arnold, Popa, Muscat that ilk of manager compared to Babel, Gumby then players wander off the range, i don't think you would see Biscuit / Gumby scenario with those 3 guys mentioned.

Playing staff need stability & direction atm maybe JP is the man, let's see how this pans out........

#JPOut

should get in early

It's finnnneeeeee

We will be a 'project' a 'work in progress' we will see the best by Christmas / early 2021...it's been a tough environment to bring quality in..but we are committed and the Chairman has a whole ******* library's worth of excuse emails lined up for when we fail...because we are a massive club and together we will get to the top.....its been a hard 4 years but..keep the faith...

JP’s appointment is basically a sign of the times. Considering the A-League will be run at cost price until the end of the 20/21 season I’d say he’s pretty secure in the contract he’s signed.

From what I’ve heard things are looking a lot more optimistic from 2021/22 onwards which is when the search for a manager will commence if JP flops.

I find it interesting that Brisbane chose Warren Moon as their manager

Part of their inaugural team and spent time coaching in NPL QLD

Sets them on a different path compared to us

Which one will work?  :unknw:

WSW - wait a season and pick a "top" manager

Roar - start from scratch with NPL players

Record so far

4 wins, 4 draws and a loss

Given the mess he stepped into he’s done pretty well

If you look at our last 10 form It’s 6th so

roar 19

nix 19

jets 19

city 17

sydney 17

wsw 16

Wu 13

adelaide 13

Perth 10

victory 5

sea bogans 2

cant be bothered working it out for 9 games (that JP has had) but given our 1st if that 10 was a loss It would have to be better than 6th

The draw against sea bogans will cost us at the end that and being a bit ****

The heartless draw where Cox missed the unmissable is going to hurt too

If Mariners relocate, would Alen Stajcic's contract be null and void?

If so, would he be a good pick? :unknw:

My thoughts on JP are still:

"Well it's better than panicking and signing John Aloisi (or equivalent) on a three year deal. No decent manager will come to Australia now because of Covid. We have a year to figure out what to do long term."

Your way more patient than me, it’s the A League making the top 4 shouldn’t take years or planning, sign 4 decent imports and a coach with a clue, it really is that simple
