Squad Development 2021

Good luck to him. Without knowing what happens in the back rooms or at training I don't think he deserved what he got this season. I am sure he would have done better than some of the defenders we had on. He is one of the few players that shows some passion on the field.

Better chance for him to be in the shop window or impress his employer for another season

Terrible decision made by the club in my opinion.

It's most likely that Russell will get the nod to join the Olyroos and there's a potential that Wlimering could get a call up as well. That leaves Aqulina to play LB and probably shifting Gordon to play RB or Robinson will be an idiot and use Kamau to play as a wing back again.

Olyroos camp isn't until the international window starting at the end of May (right after our last regular season game). Arnie said he isn't picking any A-League based Olyroos for that camp so they'll all be available for the finals.

It's obvious that he is surplus to requirements in CR's view.  He was never going get on the pitch again by the look of things. A bit of a sad way to go tbh. Wish him the best.

He'll be a catalyst in their annual choke :xnod:

I will miss the socials he did with the club, they were always funny

Waving your hands around and complaining to the referee isn’t passion

He’s been crap, Wilmering has been far better

When has cr played Kamau as wing back this season?

Isn't he taking up a coaching role in the NPL.

He was at inter Lions for about a week. He left the role immediately. Scuttle butt is he took the Tech director role but was immediately told what he needed to do rather than being given some freedom

On the team sheet it had him there, fairly confident we played back 4, he played more as a right sided attacking mid.

I don't know...either way, our line-up and formation was dogs*it.

At this rate the squad is just playing at any position they want to like a bunch of under 10's.

Olyroos don't have to go until after the season ends.

Yep.He's the reason we've been crap. Now that he's gone everything will be eetswa.

Not saying that but the longer he hasn’t played the more people seem to thing he was somehow hard done by and his “passion” would have won us games

He was dreadful for us under 3 different managers. The “passion” is waving his arms around and giving stupid free kicks away. I’d have preferred he marked his man and didn’t stand in no mans land before making a half arsed run back to fail to catch the player he should have marked.

Added to that he has no left foot

From what I hear Inter Lions are a bit of a basket case.

I know an “amusing” Borat clip and he’s a hero, then a prolonged absence makes him sort of of Folk Hero

To be fair to him he always would spend time with fans regardless of if he was playing which he deserves huge credit. But his infield performances were massively dissappointing, see also McGowan and ziegler those three should have stepped up and not left it to the kids

CR gave em all chances, DG came on against Cows and was ace next week he got a start and had to be pulled at half time. He couldn’t even trap a ball in that game

This.

But I am gonna miss all the socials he did. Off the field he was amazing absolutely hilarious.

On the field it was mixed at best lets be honest here. You always expected more from such an experienced player but got found out too many times. His few appearances earlier this season with CR convinced me that the young boys should be given a go and they haven't let go of their opportunities since.

I sincerely hoped that his cameo against the Bulls was a turning point but alas his next start was woeful as you say

This years team has been a proverbial Wonderbra - we expected (and where promised) so much, but got so little when the blouse (marketing, PR, spin) came off.

For me it hasn't really mattered who's come and who's gone, as our inability to have any consistency across the playing group has us fielding a new team each week. There is no secret player combination formula. We're slow and static because it's a Abbot and Costello who's on first - what's on second sh*t show. We've got defenders pointing fingers at each other like schoolboys, and I'm sick of all the CR Tony Robbins-esque hope pedalling BS - which he can't even manage to execute properly.

What a sad f'n time to be a wanders supporter. When forum discussion revolves around a ego-centric defender that can't turn left (Derek Zoolander) and a 37 old attacker that can't hold a job. We might as well go back to talking about random spaniards.

Rant over. Happy times.
