Davo Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 If by scores in every game he plays you mean scored 19 goals in 126 appearances then I guess so.

WanderingToqui Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Right, our defence has room now to bring in a certain free agent, Sergio Ramos. He has left Real Madrid. ........ to dream costs nothing right? ZachMercer, BoyFromTheWest and Paul01 3

Pretty sure there was one season he was in the top 5 goalscorers for Real Madrid (and he's a defender!). Honestly, he could probably score more goals in a single season compared to how much Sotirio has ever scored throughout his A-League career.
Wanderingbeersclub Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Prediction We sign a number of exciting players with decent resumes We all get excited about the season and gamble irresponsibly Said players underwhelm We miss the finals by 2 points 102megan, Upthehill, StringerBellend and 6 others 9

Just saw a tweet that he scored 101 goals in 671 appearances for Real Madrid, so a goal every 6.6 games as a defender. For comparison, and since I already looked up the stats for the post above, Sotirio has almost exactly the same rate of a goal every 6.6 games, but as an attacker. StringerBellend and MathyouWSW 1 1

Sotirio's goal tally would be much higher if he had a beard like Ramos. MathyouWSW, Smoggy and 102megan 1 2
Wanderingbeersclub Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Sotirio has never lost to Barcelona Ramos - lost to Barcelona numerous times The difference is clear. #SotirioIn Edinburgh, tardotz, BoyFromTheWest and 4 others 7
MathyouWSW Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 If anyone had any wishes for Vukovic to join the Wanderers, it's not happened. He has signed with NEC in the Netherlands for 1 year.

Pup55 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 If there was a position on the field that we probably didn't need any coverage, it's left back. 102megan 1
Pup55 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Makes sense our first off season signing is a left back.
Davo Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Depends which Adama Traore they're talking about. 102megan, Sithslayer1991, TwoLeftFoots and 2 others 1 4
Wanderingbeersclub Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I think Traore is a decent pick up. Aquilna has been great but is more a righty. Russell/Aquilina fighting for the RB spot. Wilmering/Traore fighting for the left back spot. Good competition for places in the fullback slots. And mostly with young players on the up. MartinTyler, Edinburgh, nick and 1 other 4

Didn’t Aquilina play almost exclusively on the left the entire year?

But I think that's more because Russell had RB locked down for most of it. I think Aquilina did well on the left. But great on right
Hughesy Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Traore was a beast in his first stint at Victory but second time round has been so so
Sithslayer1991 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I don't know about this one just purely based on the Victory the last 2 seasons he has been poor not entirely his fault. However this signing clearly means the back 3 is here to stay -SIGH- Traore still has the engine to get up and down which means Russell and Aquilina will fight for the RB position with Wilmering and Traore battling for the LB. Ziggy likely to stay at CB where he should he is too slow for RB in A-league I have doubts though he could end up like Troisi this season.
WSWJACK Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Don't know what to think of the Traore signing, not overly impressed going by last season. matty 1
xposedPatricK Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 I honestly think this is a good signing. This guy can defend and attack and best yet he is not scared to take on defenders. I don't think the kids were good enough this season, bar Russell, Aqualina is good in spells however just decision making frustrates me (i know will come good in time) sonar, StringerBellend and MartinTyler 3
WanderingToqui Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Traore is a wingback. Knows his role. Has 4 sets of lungs and will run up and all day. Can also put in a decent cross. Has skill and tenacity. Good signing. sonar, nick, StringerBellend and 2 others 5
