We don't we live in a world where a member of government is given a million dollars by a unknown donor to defend himself and is still part of government, where a women was sexually assaulted in parliament house and stuff all was done

Where a women not smiling at a photo op gets more press coverage than another women being killed by her partner or a media darling being shown up...

Let's not play the male victim card here..

Both points can be true at once.

In fact, in society, one lack of reaction has given rise to the opposite unfair reaction.

Generally about this issue. As clueless bystanders, flying off the handle and throwing accusations or ad hominems around helps no one, just looks silly.

The issue for me is even if its viewed as rumour and conjecture with regards to Rudan's behaviour, he's not the guy to bring in now after 5 shite years with lots of disenchantment fermenting with the fan base. It seems tone deaf to me

No disagreement there. But my issue is more about the internal inertia... than with Rudan personally, although the innuendo surrounding him further creates deeper cultural crisis within the club and externally. He may be a decent coach but coaching is only a small part of the issue and there is no golden bullet fix - with the perfect coach.

Fort me it is about violence full stop. Violence against women, vphysical, sexual or emotional, has no place in our society, yet is protected and laughed off.

Equally, there is violence of other types and some of that is against men and women. Innuendo, rumour, false accusations, are all rampant on social media and beyond. Someone says something, extrapolated the fact with opinion and others pick it up and fuel it... At the heart a person suffers.

I would like to see an end to violence - perhaps that also means me and my opinions expressed of other people, including opposition teams.

I completely agree, with the middle paragraph. That's why I don't like it when people run with these stories.

When you think about it, it's a bit sick that we actually use these rumours and demeaning characterisations of people we don't know as a form of entertainment and socialisation.

can honestly agree with both sides, pretty much if you have power then you are fine, if you dont have power then you are screwed, that said false accusations are not exactly common

That presser at times felt like an absolute piss take - I get that you need to make light hearted jokes to break tension etc - but this is no laughing matter considering JT has had to do this same presser with previous managers.

Rudan will instill some hard ass attitude you would think - but gee even he treated it to be a bit of a piss take as well, he wants to be on the golf clubs, not at a football club.

He's already the most unpopular manager appointment to this club - personally I feel like he's not 100% committed to this cause already. As previous mentioned, hopefully JT and Rudan's future at WSW are entwined together.

happy to be proven wrong, but Rudan wont be WSW manager in 22/23.

Regardless of your view point the range of posts since his appointment clearly demonstrates how divisive this is.

My preference would have been that he wasn't appointed. But I also accept that right now it is what it is and we need points on the pitch.

I can't see me warming to Rudan, he is not my kind of person (and that view is based on what I do see and hear from him) but for the good of the club we need finals football desperately and I think I am able to separate Rudan out from that for 3 or 4 months.

Then I would prefer he departed.

We've given the job to a guy who managed to lose to a Carl Robinson coached team 5-0.

......and we know CR had NFI.....may god have mercy on our soul....:ninja:

We need to bring in John Saffron and get him to try and lift whatever goddamned curse is on our club......:D

Not sure there's a curse. Popa was good, as the initial coach and took control. There was no internal culture... and they have wobbled all over the place and created chaos in trying to find the magic fix post-Popa. There is none!

I suspect this appt was inevitable given JT... needed someone to take the heat, haven't a clue and they seem to be mates.  The fix is simple - clean up the mess, create a real club culture and get on with being a football club built on the stunning, long-suffering fans. But I suspect that is too painful for those who have power and requires some level of introspection and self-awareness.

Not to mention that John Friggin Aloisi is doing a better job with WU then Rudan did.

Damning indictment.

Yep I hate to admit it but Aloisi is doing a better job than Rudan at WU. Its arguable that Talay is also doing a better job with the Nix as well including the massive handicap they have at the moment.

I don't think I will ever feel comfortable with Rudan but Ah lets see how the next 2 games go if the new manager bounce affects the team.

Fixed. The RBB disavowing wouldn't hurt but a WSF banning would.

Are you actually going to follow this up and find out the conclusion/outcome  of this allegation?

or will you just leave it open-ended so we can all speculate?

It'll have to be open-ended because there is no follow up, nothing further about the case was made public.

Smoggy that is exactly how I feel.

I actually think he can do something with our squad. He has the acumen.

But f”#k me he better not be here next season. The club has brought him in to just right the ship. Not take us on a cruise.

As for all the innuendo and conjecture, I’m not sure about it however I just don’t like the prick. So it’s probably true.

I think football wise we will do ok..He will get us going and into the top 4

But because of all the other stuff Im not happy, we should have got GVE to do it until the end of the season and Stajic for next season

Club have only given him the gig until end of the season, they might very well have stajic or someone in mind for next season. With rudan here to get us to finals and not write the year off. But I'd he succeeds and gets us to a GF can't see the club then pushing him out.

He'll end up here until the next issue

While I'm not supporting his appointment, I am hoping we do ok this season. I'm sick or not enjoying WSW games and I want an interstate final

I know that's wrong for me to park my moral objections to him..but it would be good to enjoy footy again
