As a Leeds fan, I would love to see Pablo Hernandez in red an black, but don't know if he still has the legs to play the Australian style of game. He was managed through the season, Yes he played 15 games but not big minutes.

He did rip us a new one when we played Leeds at Bankwest. Could tell he was class above.

Michael Laudrup signed him for then Premiership Swansea City as the club record fee, Champions league experience with Valencia and one Spanish cap, always a talented individual who could see opportunities for playing a ball into the box (Wilf Bony will testify to that), still remembered fondly at Swansea, believe ex teammate Gary Monk brought him to Leeds when he was manager there.

a thinking player who helps his side out going forward and can put a chance away, all i can think going against him is age and injuries now, would be a gamble as any other mid thirties player.

Some videos, people, please some videos! The more obscure and impressive the better! Distract us with impossible possibilities we will probably never see but can be momentarily excited about and we can dream...

Sure, here you go.

Here's some centre backs videos since the club needs to sign a decent centre back.

Neven Subotic:

The 32 year old Serbian  announced he is leaving Austrian Bundesliga club SCR Altach at the end of the season. He was originally one of the first players that Jurgen Klopp signed to Borussia Dortmund when he was appointed manager.

Lukasz Piszczek:

After 11 seasons with Borussia Dortmund, Piszczek announced he was leaving the club at the end of the season. His 35 so he could be either hanging up the boots or playing a season or two for another club. He mostly plays Left Back but can also be a Centre Back as well.

Eliaquim Mangala:

The former Manchester City & Everton player is leaving Valencia at the end of the season. The Frenchman is 30 years old so he probably has a few more years on him before he hangs up the boots.

 Eric Botteghin:

Brazilian Eric Botteghin is leaving Feyenoord. The 33 year old is heavily rumoured to head back to Brazil (Santos FC it seems) to finish off his career.

Steven Caulker:

He'll be leaving Turkish side Alanyaspor. He is only 29 but probably way to be expensive to be signed to the Wanderers.

James Chester:

Contract ends with Stoke City at the end of the season. Apparently, some Villa fans were guttered to see him leave the club a while ago. He is a Welshman so many Robinson should influence the 32 year old to sign for the club.

Adrian Mariappa:

The 34 year old Jamaican is leaving Bristol City at the end of the season

Tommy Elphick

The 33 year old is rumoured to be leaving Huddersfield Town

 Dave Bulthuis:

The 30 year old contract with Ulsan Hyundai ends at the end of the season. He was apart of the squad that won the 2019-2020 AFC Champions League. The only issue is his contract ends in December.

Bill Tuiloma:

It's a shame Tuiloma doesn't have duel citizenship as a New Zealander-Australian. Anyway, his contract with MLS club is also expected to end in December. The man can make some amazing long passes and can defend. I wonder if Robinson ever witness him play while at Vancouver.

As for some Australian centre backs, Rhys Williams and Ersan Gulum are expected to be free agents at the end of the season.

In regards to James Chester in the previous post, I hope that the Villa fans were able to kerb their disappointment.

How will a Welshman go in the aussie summer? Drained by half time?

Considering we need a striker that can score goals I would take Vela any day

Would love the idea of the club signing a player of that calibre. 47 goals in his last 52 games for LAFC speaks for itself. The club have saved money recently on not getting marquees so theres not really any excuses but I still can't see us getting him

Thanks MathyouWSW!!!

Great to see some talent available.  I'd take any of them - to think: big/tall, defenders, tacklers. assists, goals, passing and speed.  Any of these would be an assett!!!

With all those attributes, there's no chance we'll sign them then.

James Chester was a brilliant leader for Aston Villa when he came in. Stopped the rot in the championship and helped propel them back up the table. Think he had a couple injury issues and was then replaced by Mings and Tuanzebe (Man Utd).

would still be class in the a league

Vela - wasn't he THE stand out player for LAFC last season? From what I've seen of the MLS he would be a phenomenon in this league.

Can't see him dropping coin to come here though?

Even the season before that he was the one of the only players going head to head with Zlatan's stats. That is nothing to scoff at.

Carlos Vela is an outstanding player. It would be cruel to him and,our supporters and football in general to bring him to the Wanderers and therefore trigger his immediate decline and subsequent retirement. But, tradition is tradition.

How do you say 'Football God' in Spanish?

After our last Football God I believe it's pronounced "mutual termination".

All this talk of players is great and the video highlight packages are appreciated but what's their FIFA rating?
