Guess it can't get much worse. I'm not convinced we'll bounce back this season, but sometimes suffering is good given all our success.

Kusukami looked great. Martinez showed glimpses of something good. Nichols was everywhere.

Other than that we were awful. particularly in the second half.

Too early to call it obviously but wow I hope we improve...

Hamill way too slow, defence completely static when the ball comes into the box. The only person moving in the 6 yard box is the esfc striker...

Our wing backs seem to run out of ideas as soon as they grt past half way, and Dimas and Bruno did nothing.

We look way better than round 1 last season.

Jumpei was great. Nichols was very good. Martinez and Bulut looked promising. Pinatares was way better than I thought he would be. Pleasantly surprised.

Defense was shite. Borda at fault for 2nd goal and 3rd. Terrible decision to do a topor-stanley and get a red.

I wasn't expecting us to win so it's not quite as devastating. Definitely need to fix the CBs. Neville and Hammil were good and Hammil was impressive in attack. Really we just did what we always do and lose in moments where we stop playing against esfc

Were we watching the same game? Hamill was an absolute liability in both attack and defense. Pinatares gave us nothing out there.

Agree that Nicholls Bulut and Jumpei were good though.

Very disheartening, Jumpei and Redmayne were good, Martinez looks promising when he is fit he will be a handful.

I wasn't too unhappy when I knew NTS was out but in hindsight I think we missed him.

Pintares and Borda are a waste of space (on this performance), Hamil was awful.

It is going to be a long season. That's 8 goals in 2 games.

Non existent mid field

A season isn't made because of the result of 1 game,but wow....losing 4-0 isn't a good start.! Can't help but feel disappointed. For what its worth I think there were too many changes to the squad from last season.

Ah Popa I hope you have learnt your lesson with Hamill now, the hard way. I also hope that our defenders learn to close down players quickly. There were times when it was 5 of our players at the back against 3 of theirs, and try they seemed to have acres of space and time on the ball.

Oh how we would like to have beauchamp, spiranovic and polenz back.... what a ****en disaster! Only thing worth a mention was outnumbering the east sydney fans but pity they got the last laugh again!

Hard to believe we won an ACL less than 18 months ago on the back of rock solid defence. Popa as a defender surely should of closed the holes which were evident from the start. Disappointed is an understatement. Can only go one way from here...

Martinez to Bulut = goal. There will be more than one occasion this is said so I remain hopeful. A Popa coached team conceding 8 goals in 2 games is a worry. We were shite last game and never win Derby's so at least we have a level of consistency.

True to some extent, but it has to be asked, is there much improvement in this bunch? It looks grim.

Dreadful defending, and Topor coming back wont improve that on his form. Split wide open in just a few slick ESFC passes is not acceptable, we look so undercooked it isnt funny, but then we suspected this was the case. I am getting ******* sick of derby defeats and slow starts to seasons.

Hamill is ******* shyte, end of.

Atmosphere got lost in the high seats as predicted. Surrounded by people who were big gamers and wont be at spotless for the first game thats for sure.

I will be there for the first game at spotless and will look forward to it.

Mightily hopeful about Jumpei - worried he will get tagged or bullied off the ball all season, because we all know the refs will never blow the whistle 

Never easy losing to the scum - Popa will need to get the beating stick out because they need to lift quick smart next week

I went tonight with low expectations and came away disappointed.

It was a bit **** I thought. I was expecting Sydney fc to not fill their end of the bargain but I thought we were still on track for a bigger one.

And look I won't rip into people in the side stands leaving early at 4-0 but the people in the home end standing there like stunned mullets might as well have. I just don't get it. Why come? Buy your ticket in there? When you're 4-0 down singing and having a good time is all you've got left. Don't leave anything behind and leave with your head held high.

Accoustics shite also as expected.

Damned is bang on about Martinez.

Jumpei was a handful also and is going to be fun to watch.

I haven't watched goals yet but I thought redmayne did okay?

We were so ******* slow and reactionary in defence it wasn't funny and then we were giving it away so cheaply . And we were outmuscled in midfield also.

Shooting practice needed as usual. I still think ante gave us something up there we've never replaced.

Jumpei was good. Not much else went well.
